Peguam Christopher Fernando(Aris Rizal Fernando Abdullah) telah pulang ke Rahmatullah semalam di IJN.
Semoga roh beliau di cucuri rahmat dan di permudahkan segala urusan beliau di alam Barzakh dan di Mahsyar nanti.
Semoga segala salah dan silap beliau dan kita di ampuni ALLAH Azza Wa Jalla. Ameen Ya Rabb.
Takziah untuk isteri beliau Puan Maria Kamaruddin dan dua anak perempuan beliau Rina dan Marissa dengan harapan mereka akan tabah dan bersabar menghadapi dugaan ini.

ReplyDeleteI have never known Mr Fernando personally but from what I read and heard about him from friends who had the privillege of having his service, he sure was a fearless lawyer fighting for justice despite having the system against him or his clients.

ReplyDeleteHe was an exemplary lawyer. Often seen chain-smoking outside the court building.
But CF treated junior lawyers as his peers. Never once he looked down at them. In fact, he helped the juniors all the time.
A great loss to Malaysian Bar. A greater loss to the whole fraternity at large.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I heard from some lawyer friends, Allahyarham was indeed a good man and he made junior lawyers comfortable around him.
What I admired most about him was his willingness to face the possible backlash from the powers of that day when he and several others took the cause of DSAI and his no nonsense approach.
