What more can I say.
Our son turned 18 today. He can be considered an adult now. His opinions matters.

Before the 'gonjol head': registration PLKN at MITC

He has grown from my forearm's lenght 18 years ago to a tall well built young man making me like a midget. But deep inside me he is still my little boy. The guy whom we took turn at night to feed or to change his diapers. The toddler who sometimes refuse to sleep ,not until we take him for a joyride around Melaka town where he will fall asleep in his mom's arms. The guy whom I always carry around like a kanggaroo carrying its child in a pouch like bag strapped to my chest.The guy who waited for me to comehome from work and take him on the motorcycle ride in Ujong Pasir.

The guy who gave us panic moments on our trip to the eastcoast in the early 90s when we got asthmatic attack(during the first haze episode engulfing the nation) while we were between Kemaman and Dungun. A nebulizer in Dungun Hospital made him better.

A guy who never gave us any problem since his birth to this date( he better not start now!). A guy who became the first grandchild of our families and a darling to his grandparents.

A guy who liked Doraemon so much that when he was 4, he singlehandedly entertainted everyone during my brothers wedding kenduri with his 'solo performance' of Doraemon and Nobita over the PA system.

But today he is unable to celebrate his birthday with us. He is away at the foot of Gunung Ledang. He's there to look for Puteri Gunung Ledang following the footstep of Hang Tuah. Maybe all he'll find is Tiara Jacquelina there. Or the many Orang Asli there.
He's there in a programme that sucks lots of ringgit from the govt's coffer.

Yes, our son is in the PLKN camp at the foot of Gunung Ledang. It'll be good for him, the training .Thinking of Doraemon?

He met several of his primary school's classmates there after 6 long years. At least that is one positive thing about the programme.

Now that you are 18, your Mama and Ayah realise that we will need to let you fly on your own soon. You will have to work hard for your ambition and future. We will always be around when needed.

A time will come when we will be separated by a great distance for you to seek new horizon.We will miss you very much when that moment knocks at our door. But worry not. We will never forget you. We will carry your love and joys you gave us to our graves.

You are 18 today. You will only be able to read this piece during the CNY break. But the future holds for you if you know where and how to look for it. Your Mama and me had given the best that we can afford since your birth.We gave the best love that we knew to you.We look for the best Quran teachers for you. We gave you the good schools that we know of. All you have to do is use your knowledge,your iman and the love we showered you in whatever you do.

Happy Birthday Hafiz. Mama loves you.Ayah loves you.We all love you.

Salam to all.

First it was a streamyx problem. Then the modem sulked on me.Now the CPU is dying on me.
Gotta get a new CPU tomorrow. And they will take 2 working days to do whatever they have to do.
And I can't write about the bloggers luncheon anymore.It will be like stale food after a week of the gathering.

What a gathering that was. Finally got to meet Che'gu KTN(and his family),Nuraina and Tok Mommy,Fauziah Ismail, Wan Dhana and hubby,Baiti,Melvin, Mat BangkaiJeejah Mantra,Zam Bungga Telur,Al Husseyn,Zainal and Azizul.Not to forget Pi Bani. So was the presence of Datuk Syed Idid,Kadir Jasin and Khalid Samad.

And was delighted to see MS,Shah,Kerp,Raden Galoh with Mambang Hijau,Elviza( always gila-gila),Elena with Lan,Muteaudio,Anu,Pokku,Pak Idrus and A Voice again.

And the next night some of us had a wonderful supper at Halim's Ayam Golek.( Kesian Elviza....she was not told about it for if she came who will look after Luke?)

Here's something to describe my feeling after we said our goodbyes.

Let's get together on 29th November 2008

In early April we had a 'small' gathering which was supposed to be a teh tarik session for me,Mat Salo,Shah and Ahmad Kerpomovic.

Somehow it got bigger and presto, we had about 20 bloggers having 'makan-makan' and sembang-sembang at The Curve.

We miss one person during that April bash and we told him that one day we will make another teh tarik plus sembang-sembang plus mengata(?) plus meeting face-to-face for the first time whenever he comes down to Klang Valley.

Many of us are eager to meet him for many felt like he is is a big brother to them.Many knew they will be at ease with him.
And we were hoping another faraway blogger will be able to join us for he too is like a big brother to some of us.

Okay he it is:

INSYAALLAH, on the 29th November 2008(Saturday) Che'gu Kata Tak Nak will be in Klang Valley to fullfill our request( Mat Salo,Kerp,Shah and me) .

Date,time: 29th November 2008. (Time will be decide later by Mat Salo depending when Che'gu arrives in Klang Valley)

Some of our friends can't make it due to other commitments.

Bama dan Mat Kain dan Malaysia.

Kring...kring...kring.....

Mat Kain: Hello...Bama ka tu?

Bama: Ya...aku Bama. Tok Ketua baru kampung ni. Hang sapa?

Mat Kain: Aiseyman Bama...aku Mat Kain laa...jangan lah wat tak kenai aku pulak. mentang-mentang hang menang jadi Tok Ketua hang eksyen dengan aku noo....

Bama: Laa...Mat Kain ka? Sori...aku ingat sapa tadi.

Mat Kain: Awat hang tak cam sora aku ka?

Bama: Bukan macam tu Kain. Hang tau saja laa...la ni ramai yang dok menyamaq buat sora orang lain. Takkan hang lupa running mate hang Cik Sarah Paklin tu kan dah terkena dengan badut mana ntah.

Mat Kain: Betoi jugak no. Nih Bama, aku nak ucap tahniah kat hang pasai menang jadi Tok Ketua kampung kita.Tapi aku nak nasihat kat hang sama.Hang bukan takat Tok Ketua kampung kita tapi hang ni semua kampung di daerah ni anggap sebagai tok ketua depa jugak.

Bama: Ya ka? Tima kasih no hang bagi tau.

Mat Kain: Tapi hang kena ingat, ada jugak nanti Tok Ketua kampung lain yang buat ketegaq dengan hang. Depa akan marah kat hang pasai budak-budak prefect kita di pukul budak sekolah kampung lain.Atau bila prefect kita pi ajaq tok ketua kampung lain.Atau bila prefect kita buat kampung lain macam kampung kita.Hang kena jaga tu semua.

Bama: Okay...aku dengaq apa hang kata ni...

Mat Kain: Hang kena jaga pasai orang kampung lain semua nak tengok hang dengan bekas tok ketua si Mat Semak tu sama perangai ka dak. Hang tau aku kalah ngan hang ni pasai si Semak tu lah. Dia samseng tak memasai...org jadi meluat kat parti aku.

Bama: Aku tau tu...sama macam di Malaysia orang pakat meluat kat MNO pasai tok ketua MNO ngan JKKK dia semua tak senonoh.Aku dengaq kata JKKK MNO nak pilih pun kena huloq sana huloq sini.Aku pun heran jugak puak-puak MNO ni di Malaysia.

Mat Kain: Awatnya ngan depa?

Bama: Dak lah...depa kan Muslim.Yang aku paham, Muslim mana boleh rasuah hang tau ka? Tuhan depa ALLAH marah sapa dok rasuah ni.Masuk neraka hang tau ka?

Mat Kain: Alah...apa nak heran Bama oi. Puak JKKK MNO tu depa kira apa dosa pahala. Depan ahli depa ,depa tunjuk alim laa....belakang kalu semua depa sebat hang tau ka.Sebat sampai orang panggey depa musibat.

Bama: Okay....ni kalau aku ada apa-apa boleh dak aku tanya pendapat hang?

Mat Kain: Boleh sangat-sangat laa....tapi ni aku nak minta tulong sikit kat hang Bama:

Bama: Apa dia?

Mat Kain: Aku dok ingat nak juai helikopter kat Malaysia laa...pasai depa baru kensel Urokopta. Jadi aku nak juai laa...

Bama: Aik? Bukan selama ni hang dok juai kain ka? Ni awat nak juai helikopta pulak.

Mat Kain: Macam ni...JKKK Malaysia tu kalau dapat komisyen depa akan stim hang tau ka. jadi aku nak juai scrap kita di padang pasiaq Arizona kat depa.Aku nanti tunjuk la gambaq helikopta yang canggih.Depa mesti setuju.

Bama: Takkan tengok gambaq depa dah mau Mat Kain?

Mat Kain: Memang depa macam tu. Tengok gambaq dah cantik teroih nak beli. Kalu hat kita hantaq tu guna tin milo ka tin susu cap junjong ka bukan depa kira,Janji cantik...Masa ni la kita nak 'con' depa.

Bama: Okay...nanti aku tipon PM depa Palah.

Mat Kain: Apa pulak Palah....La ni hang kena telipon Najibus.
