Few days ago , my other half told me that the insurance and road tax for her car had expired( Abang! Roadtax dan insurance keta dah mati tau).

I said okay,I'll take care of everything( thats my standard promise,but she knew me better).

Yesterday I asked a friend to give cash to an officer with bank Muamalat Jebatville branch to renew the insurance and road tax. Told my wife we'll have your roadtax by tonight.

At 5pm the bank officer called me.

Din: Hello! Tadi kita tak dapat renew roadtax you lah. Kat pos ofis kata kereta you kena black list. You kena pergi ke JPJ and tengok apahal...

Me: Cik Din, biar betul ni.Kena black list sebab apa? saman JPJ atau Polis?

Din: I pun tak tau la syeh.Esok you pi cek kat JPJ and settle apa yang patut.Pas tu inform I okay?

With that we said our goodbyes and I smsed my wife. So last night after maghrib we sat infront of our computer browsing through.And finally manage to get the RTD/JPJ website.And yes! In bold red there it stated the car was black listed. And one need to go to a nearest JPJ office to find out why(and get lectured and pay the fines and get lost as fast as you can).

This morning at 8 am sharp I was already in front of JPJ Jebatville. By 8.15am I entered and told the kind and pretty lady in dark blue uniform my intention.Told her the car was blecklisted and I'm here to pay whatever fines there is. She punched in the registration number and printed something for me.

JPJ lady: Cik, kes ni belum ada saman dan masih dalam siasatan.Cik bawa print out ni ke bahagian sebelah sana(pointing her finger) dan jumpa pegawai penyiasatan.

I followed her instruction to the dot. There were 2 guys there at the bahagian Penyiasatan.One was looking into a file.Another one was a his computer terminal trying to play Iklim's mp3 songs.

I gave my salam to the file guy and he looked up.Took the slip I gave and went into another room,rummage thro several files and came back to me.

File man: Kita dah hantar surat mintak datang bulan 12 dulu ni tapi cik tak datang pun?

Me: ya ka? saya tak tau pun.Mungkin surat tu pada nama isteri saya kot?

File man: Ni kita dapat semula surat tu.Cik tak pergi ambik di Pos opis ka?Ni kereta cik ni ada masaalah( he open the letter they posted to mt wife).Cik ada pasang cermin tinted ka?

Me: Ya ada.Semua orang pasang tinted kan la ni...

File man: Memang la..tapi cik punya ni gelap sangat.Cik ada bawa kereta tu sekarang?( I shook my head).Cik kena koyak tint tu baru boleh keluarkan dari senarai black list.

Me: Kereta tu tak bawak la pasai roadtax dah mati bang..Macam ni saja lah.Apa kata saya bayar saman atau denda ni dulu,pas tu saya renew roadtax dan bawa kereta tu mai JPJ semula supaya boleh inspection.

File man: Tak pa lah.Cik pergi bayar denda ni kat sebelah(lady in blue uniform) dan renew tax tu. Tak payah bawa kereta ke sini tapi cik kena buangkan tint yang gelap tu.kalu tak nanti kena saman lagi tak dapat nak bagi diskaun macam hari ni.

Me: Okay..okay..bang,Nanti saya buang menatang tu.Tima kasih pasai bagi 30% diskaun.

I paid the fine.RM200/=. Early in the morning.And it was drizzling this morning. Told my wife I had to forked out RM200/=. Takpa,shakali shakala she said.

Finally her raod tax is settled.Next week will be my car.Luckily my car is clean with the JPJ.

So you guys out there,before you renew your road tax,please check the JPJ blacklist website.You never know.
