(Update: Guys!Bergen is back)

I got this e-mail several years ago and kept it. This is not meant to belittle any race although this is a 'racist' joke. But it is not a degrading one. Have a nice weekend to all.
Just for laugh...

An Indian man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan
officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to India on
business
for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of
collateral for the loan, so the Indian man hands over the keys of his
new Ferrari that's parked on the street in front of the bank. He
produces the title and everything checks out.

The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.
The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the
crazy Indian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a
$5,000
loan and an employee of the bank drives the Ferrari into the bank's
underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Indian returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest
on the loan which comes to $15.41.The loan officer says, "Sir, we are
very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked
out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we
checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What
puzzles
us is, why you would bother to borrow "$5,000"

The Indian replies: "Where else can I park my car securely in New York
City for two weeks for only $15.41 and know that it will be there when
I
return'"

Ah, the mind of the Indian.......

Perhaps this is why India is shining.......

Sapa makan cabai melaka dia pedaih laa

Salam Doc,

Hehehe! But when you think about it, the joke may be for real! I mean, look at the parking fees in KL and especially KLIA!My friend even lost his then brand new firestorm whilst parked in a supposedly secured carpark!

Btw, Bergen is back.

Salam Tokasid,

Salam Tokasid
Really now, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to come up with ideas to either make money or not spend so much money.
It's a matter of wanting to do it or not.
But in the local environment, it's really about knowing who to be able to get ahead of the others, kan?

hehe ! This is so funny! No wonder he is a millionaire!

Good one doc. The last time I read this it was not an Indian. But a good lesson on how to circumvent some sticky regulations and situations. Cheers doc.

Shah cakapaje:

Yes the parking fees now are exorbitant. Cekik darah.Potong kepala.

KLIA will cost you RM 42/= for 24 hours. And most shopping complexes is about RM 3/= per hour.

Secured carpark? I thought they have notices that says: Segala kerosakan dan kehilangan kenderaan anda bukanlah tanggungjawab pihak pengurusan.

Pak zabs:

Syarikat insurance refuse tio re-insured bcoz of that? This is something new to me.

My 8years old Fiat Marea doesn't even have an alarm system. Nampaknya kena keluar duit lagi lah sebelum renew.

I knew several guys who flopped their MCE/SPM but are making lots of money.
I too knew more guys who have degrees and masters but always fail in their bizniz ventures.

And you know what? These successful guys with no degree, they do know the correct person to look for in their ventures! They have strong 'grassroot'base, if ypu know what I mean.

Tempat lain?
Untuk luar bandar lagi terok. Kalau boleh ada bas(walaupun bas cabuk)setiap 2 jam dah kira okay teramat sangat lah tu.

Verdict: Kena guna kenderaan sendiri juga lah kita.

Kak Teh:

Yes it is. Thats why I kept it in my inbox for many years.

AG dah keluar buku. Kak Teh pun patut keluarkan sama untuk 2008 nanti.

Unker zorro;

Its an honour for me with your visit here.I guess you can change the race or nationality of the clever chap in this joke. It just shows that the mat saleh are not as clever as they thought.

Salam lagi TA,
Please check with your insurance agent first.

hahaha...hilarious la doc. but i wonder if that would actually work in reality? does banks have any such policy?

Salam Mamat..

tokasid said...

Pak zabs: will do that.
I think cheapo car like mine tak perlu alarm canggih kot.

tokasid said...

Kerp:

I think its just a joke. But, I wouldn't know for sure. Maybe in USA some banks might have that policy.

tokasid said...

Mamat:

Betoi. Dia ni macam Paulo Rossi. Ada peluang kebas saja.

Doc,
Once a friend parked his car at a building in KL for 5 days, he ended up paying nothing.

That place charge RM1 per hour. But after 10pm they'll open the auto gate (the parking attendant work till 10pm only). So, if you leave after 10pm, you pay nothin.
