Salam to all.

lelakinya yg berusia 7 tahun dimuka pintu.

Anak: Ayah, boleh tak Amin tanya satu soalan?

Ayah: "Ya... nak tanya apa?"

Anak: "Berapa pendapatan ayah sejam?"

Ayah: "Itu bukan urusan kamu, buat apa nak sibuk tanya?" si ayah mula
menengking.

Anak: "Amin saja nak tahu ayah. Tolonglah bagitahu berapa ayah dapat
sejam bekerja di pejabat?" si anak mula merayu.

Ayah: "20 ringgit sejam, kenapa nak tahu?"

Anak: "Oh... " si anak menjawab sambil tunduk ke bawah. Kemudian
memandang wajah ayahnya ambil bertanya, "Ayah... .boleh tak Amin nak
pinjam 10 ringgit dari ayah?".

Si Ayah mula menjadi berang dan berkata, " oh, itu ke sebabnya kamu
tanya pasal pendapatan ayah, kamu nak buat apa nak mintak sampai 10
ringgit ?
Nak beli barang mainan lagi? Jangan nak membazir. Ayah kerja
penat-penat bukan utk buang duit sebarangan. Sekarang pergi balik bilik dan tidur,
dah lewat dah ni... "

anaknya yg sekecil itu memerlukan duit sebanyak itu. Kira-kira dua jam

membuka pintu. Didapati anaknya masih belum tidur.

"Kalau kamu betul-betul perlu duit, nah ambillah duit 10 ringgit ini",
berkata si ayah.

Kanak-kanak itu segera bangun dan tersenyum girang. "Terimakasih
banyakayah", katanya begitu gembira. Kemudian dia tercari-cari sesuatu

Amin nak
beli sejam dari masa ayah. Amin nak ayah balik kerja awal besok. Amin
rindu nak makan malam bersama ayah. ", jawab si anak tanpa berani
memandang wajah ayahnya.

Salam doc,
Yes, I've read this b4. Anyway, it actually remind me of Petronas's "No Charge" HAri Raya commercial. Eventhough its about love of a father to his son, the theme is universal...money mean nothing when u compare ur love to another human being.

Salam Tokasid
When I read this story sometime ago, I wondered if busy parents are given a copy of it and how they would react if their children actually do it to them. At that point in time, I actually felt as if I don’t spend enough time with my nephew and niece.
Well, I still don’t although I keep communications open with them at any time of the day.

Yes, I had read the English version too but didn't keep it. When someone e-mailed me this one I decided to keep it.

Cats....we have 9 cats at the moment( with 3 one month old kittens). We've had cats all our lives. The problem with them cats: Susah nak jalan-jalan for too long like balik kampong or vacation.Who's to feed them? We tried sending them for boarding but it cost about RM8/= per cat per day!
Finally, whenever we have to balik kampong , our bibik maid have to jaga the cats at home.

I found this piece while browsing my old e-mails. And it just happen that I have to work till 9pm for this whole week( my locum couldn't cover me this week).
It reminded me when I was working in Hospital Melaka in the early 90's I had to work long hours and by the time I got home my son was waiting for me. When I quit the govt post and joined a group practise it was worst. We just started and had a few 24 hours clinic and most of the time we have to work a 36 hours shift. Hafiz was growing up and sometimes he did ask why am I not at home the night before. Sometimes when I am at home I was very exhausted and slept like a log. Hafiz will be waiting till I wake up to entertain him.

On hindsight...we thought we struggle to earn for our children, but at the same time we are 'neglecting' them. We can't give quality time to them.

And from my experience of consulting ppl, I find most of the teenagers who became wayward are those whose parents(esp father) couldn't spend a little time to communicate with their children.
These kids turn to their peers and became Mat Rempits or drug addicts.

You got it right bro mute.
Love and caring attitude esp to your children and family is more important than having tonnes of money

I think this piece is about spending a little time and communication with your family(and extended one too).

Kids wanted to tell their parents about so many things: what happened in school, about their sports activities, their clud activities, they got to represent the school for this and that. The least we can do is sit down a listen for a while and encourage them. Make them know we care for them.

How sad but the situation does exist and is worrisome, no not the son asking for 20, that was made up, but the fact that parents especially fathers not having time for their children.

Salam Doc,

Lawanya kucing Doc. Saya pun sayang kucing juga...macam Dapne.

Nampaknya kita bloggers ni macam ada "link" istimewa..ada banyak persamaan.
Saya punya nick Missycat tu pasal kucing juga...Naha pun sayang kucing..the purple cat pun ada cerita pasal kucing. Lepas ni nak blog pasal kucing plak.

Salam Aidilfitri untuk Doc & family

salam doc...

when a son asks dad for 20 bucks, what usually happens is the items bought are not for educational stuff. the last time i asked my father for rm20, it was meant to pamper myself by getting a haircut at one hair saloon owned by a mak nyah. cut and shampooed my hair je, nothing more.

Reminder to us all: duit tidak boleh membeli kasih sayang.

I know its soooo cliche but it is also so true. Sigh
